LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2018)—Autoproyecto, the largest Spanish-language automotive site in the U.S., today announced the promotion of Marcos Bureau to Editor-in-Chief. Autoproyecto is re-aligning its editorial team to meet the increasing content demands related to its rapid growth trajectory.
“Javier Mota is a valuable member of the team and a respected NACTOY juror, this change helps free him from managerial duties, and enables him to focus on his passion for adventure and evaluating new cars, “said Camilo Alfaro, Autoproyecto founder and CEO. “Furthermore, this just formalizes the work and duties Marcos has already been doing.”
Mr. Bureau will assume the role of Editor-In-Chief. He will be responsible for setting the editorial direction, calendar and story assignments. Additionally, a new [email protected] email address has been created for his new position. All press releases, vehicle launches and event invitations should be sent to this new account.
A graduate in Hispanic Literature from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mr. Bureau was born in Mexico City and has been immersed in the automotive field for more than 18 years. Prior to joining Autoproyecto, he was the creator and Editorial Director of some of the most renowned automotive magazines, including Vochomanía, Mundo Volkswagen, Curves Mustang series, Super Pick Ups and Tuning Car. During the last 4 years, Mr. Bureau has been the Pruebas y Noticias editor.
“I’m looking forward to formalizing the new structure,” said Bureau. “It will be a busy year as we focus on expanding our publishing and streaming footprint.”
Autoproyecto has been diversifying its distribution and publishing strategy to meet the demand of digital-first Spanish-language consumers by fanning out into social media, broadcast and OTT channels. This multi-platform approach helps Autoproyecto content reach more than 20 million in-market auto shoppers and enthusiasts annually.
