LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25, 2019 — Today, Autoproyecto LLC announced that Al Vázquez, veteran automotive journalist and  North America Car and Truck of the Year (NACTOY) juror, has joined the Autoproyecto editorial team as a Senior Contributor for Autoproyecto.com and DriveLatino.com.

Mr. Vazquez will expand the team’s video creation capabilities as part of Autoproyecto’s video-first strategy. His long-format videos will consist of vehicle test-drives, auto show reveals and special features that will appear on Autoproyecto.com and DriveLatino.com, but more importantly, its streaming (OTT) channels.

“Autoproyecto currently is the only Spanish-language automotive channel on Apple TV, Amazon, and ROKU,” said Camilo Alfaro, Autoproyecto CEO and founder.” Al’s long-format videos will be a perfect addition for our OTT viewers that are seeking laid back, educative and entertaining automotive stories.”

Al Vázquez has a career of more than 20 years as an automotive journalist. He is one of only two Hispanic judges of the prestigious North America Car and Truck of the Year organization, which is made up of approximately 50 professional automotive journalists and select the best car and truck of the year each January.

I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my career and working with Autoproyecto,” said Mr. Vazquez, “It’s a natural evolution for both of us and our strengths are very complementary.”
